Date: 1936

After Bill and Dave graduated from Stanford University’s undergraduate program in radio engineering in 1934, Dave moved to New York state to take a job with General Electric. Bill and Dave knew they wanted to form their own company someday, but the country was mired in the Great Depression and it wasn’t the right time. However, the two remained in touch and never forgot their ambition to start a business together.
