Date: 1995

HP’s employee resource groups drove and informed much of the company’s diversity programming. Since 1974, the Black Employees Forum had sponsored an annual African American Students Day to encourage students of color to pursue higher education. The events offered Black high school students the chance to visit HP’s Cupertino facility and engage with minority employees.
