Date: 1950s

In the mid-1950s, Bill and Dave bought their first ranch together, at San Felipe. It was an active cattle ranch that both men loved to work, as well as to use to host visitors and employees. They would later expand the San Felipe Ranch, making it the largest privately-owned land in Santa Clara, and open additional ranches in California and Idaho. This “hp” cattle brand synthesizes the two men’s joint passions for their technology company and their rustic pursuits.
