Date: 1988
This color photograph of Jane Evans appeared in the September–October 1988 issue of Measure magazine, highlighting her influence at Hewlett-Packard. Evans, who in 1965 became the first female engineer HP hired with her degree already completed, went on to leadership roles in the Interface Buses Division and helped guide major product developments. Known for mentoring women pursuing technical careers, she also played an active role in professional organizations such as the Society of Women Engineers. Her feature in Measure reflected the growing recognition of her contributions inside HP and across the broader engineering community.
