Date: 1964

The Neely Mobile Lab was a custom-fitted bus that gave prospective customers hands-on experience with Hewlett-Packard products. It grew out of Neely Enterprises’ traveling road show product demonstrations, first done out of small trucks that had to be unloaded and reloaded at each stop. Neely handled Hewlett-Packard’s West Coast operations, but its methods became a model for sales groups throughout Hewlett-Packard as well as outside of the company.
