Hewlett-Packard’s Loveland, Colorado, plant was the company’s first U.S. facility to be located outside of the Bay Area. It would be the home of the company’s calculator and PC businesses. Hewlett-Packard Loveland later joined operations with the company’s Fort Collins facility, which opened in 1978.
