Printing changed forever with the first inkjet, the 2225 ThinkJet released in 1984. It was Hewlett-Packard’s first commercial desktop printer to use inkjet technology and the first to use the Hewlett-Packard “Jet” naming convention. The technology would eventually supplant noisy, slow dot matrix printers.
