Date: 1964

Hewlett-Packard’s first foray into printing — and the company’s first acquisition — was FL Moseley Company of California, which became the Moseley division of Hewlett-Packard. (Fittingly, FL Moseley Company had also started in a garage.) Moseley made graphic printing devices and was a pioneer in printing along the X-Y axis. One of its flagship product lines was the Autograf, one of which is shown here.
