Ciao: Sanborn Products Arrive in Italy

Acquired by Hewlett-Packard in 1961, the Sanborn Division and its products became increasingly popular throughout the 1960s. By 1965, Sanborn had introduced intensive care equipment while its famed Viso-Cardiette portable electrocardiograph received industry honors. A wide variety of Sanborn products were on display at a medical exhibition in Rome that same year. Celestino Somatruga of HP Italiana (left, with back to the camera) and Italian Minister of Defense Giulio Andreotti (third from left) were among the admirers of the impressive array.
