Date: 1967

Out of the office, Bill Hewlett was an avid hiker, mountain climber, fisherman and hunter. Bill’s love of the great outdoors was echoed by many employees, including those who enjoyed the HP Recreation Area near the Loveland facility. Acquired in 1963, the 240-acre site was adjacent to the Roosevelt National Forest and provided ample space for picnicking, camping and hiking. All employees of HP and its affiliates were welcome to use the facilities, and Bill was certainly among them.
