Date: ca. 1983

The HP 150 touchscreen computer caused a sensation when it was released in 1983, becoming the first Hewlett-Packard product to be advertised on television. This promotional tchotchke with a clock built into its monitor shows that the company’s understanding of popular marketing had come a long way since it released the HP 35 portable calculator in 1972.
