Hometown Softball Heroes

Hewlett-Packard sponsored its first softball team, the HP Aggies, in 1945. Just two years later, the team won its first league division championship with a 22-2 record. Hewlett-Packard was part of a division made up of six local firms, including Piers Dairy and Palo Alto Plumbing Company. The Aggies continued their hometown success in the 1950s, winning three league championships that decade.
