Date: 1970s

Hewlett-Packard first entered the computer market before the invention of the microprocessor, making computer construction and operation all the more challenging. These CPU registers for Hewlett-Packard’s 1000 and 2000 series computers were assembled by hand at the company’s facility in Sunnyvale, California.
