Hewlett-Packard’s leadership continued to embrace a hands-on, interpersonal approach even as it grew to be a large global company and after Bill and Dave retired from day-to-day management. Here, John Young (CEO from 1978–1992) is shown spending time with employees during a trip to the Hewlett-Packard Malaysia plant in the 1980s.
