Tom Tarasoff was one of 10 HP sales reps in Southern California who traded in his petroleum-based Ford Taurus for a methanol-based vehicle. The measure was part of a two-year experiment to help minimize air pollution. Hewlett-Packard had been encourgaging employees to pursue environmentally friendly transportation alternatives for at least two decades.
